Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine is a mercurial musician and singer who blends Soul gospel Jazz and R&B in her signature blend. She has performed on Broadway, at the Democratic National Convention and in concerts and festivals across Europe. Sunshine has the name Denise White. The singer hails from Chester Pennsylvania, where she started her musical career by playing the piano and singing in church. She went to Spellman College in Atlanta where she began her training at the heart of Atlanta's R&B scene. Since then, it was remixed and now is an element of her set. She also has contributed her vocals to The Fighting Temptations' soundtrack. She was the pianist in Tyler Perry's stage show Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday was the Grammy and Tony Award winner who approached her in 2007 to be the as the Choral Director for Dreamgirls The stage show that was part of Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine gained national recognition through four performances a day at the 2008 Democratic National Convention and was then invited to sing at the Obama's inauguration 2009.
