April Ross, a beach volleyball star American She is one of a small category of females who have won medals in several Olympics. Alix klineman, who is competing for the first time at Tokyo's Olympic Games, will try to earn her third medal. Ross's goal is to win her first Olympic gold medal. At 39, this could be her last opportunity to claim the gold medal at an Olympics. Her optimism is that she'll be successful in achieving top honours. Ross was quoted by NBC Boston as saying that If you put in your top, even if you perform well, you will win the gold. "I'm trying to also try some luck." Ross was born on the 22nd of October, 1982. She was raised in Costa Mesa California where she lived with her parents as well as a her sister. Along with competing in various sport, she also attended Newport Harbor High School. Her pre-athletic career comprised indoor volleyball as well as basketball as well as running and track. In her final game she was clearly the standout. As a high school volleyball career in her university biography she played as a middle-blocker, outside-hitter and setter. Thanks to her hard work she was named the 1999 Gatorade Circle of Champions National Player of the Year. The skills she showed in volleyball also earned her an Orange County Athlete of the Year award in 2000. Although Ross Klineman and Ross are a couple since 2017, the former had already been a major participant on the beaches even before the pair formed. The fact is, she's had numerous big wins and one of them was an all-star volleyball player. Jennifer Kessy was her partner for six years, from 2007 until the year 2013. She also coached Klineman and herself. Kessy's teammate Ross, who won the world title alongside Kessy in 2009, also was a major force on international stage. The pair eventually picked up an Olympic silver medal during the 2012 Olympic Games in London. Misty Maytreanor (Jennings) as well as Misty Maytreanor won gold, overtaking them. Ross Jennings was the replacement for May-Treanor as she announced her retirement. They both won beach volleyball bronze for the Rio Olympics in the year 2016. Ross began her college time with the Trojans at USC after graduation from high school. The Trojans were a few years away from when Ross made her debut on the sand and turned professional. Ross's time in the Trojans was impressive. As a freshmen in 2000, her play earned her the Pac-10 and NCAA the Freshman of the Year award. The Trojans made it to the Final Four. She endured a great personal loss in her sophomore, yet was successful in achieving the All-American distinction. Over the course of her two final years with the Trojans she was instrumental in helping them to win two consecutive titles. In her own way she established herself as a legend when she won the Honda Sports Award for 2003-04. This prize was awarded to the most outstanding female volleyball players at colleges across the nation. Ross was a student at USC in International Relations. Margie Ross was never able to witness her daughter's rise to beach volleyball fame. Ross's mother passed away from cancer of the breast when she was a sophomore in USC. However, she continues to keep her mother's memory close and close. Margie has inspired her throughout her life, as well as on the beach.
